Nestlé spokesperson Dana Stambaugh reported that the Hot Pockets recall and the Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken frozen dinner recall that started in December of last year are unrelated. Walmart, Target, Food Lion, and Kroger have posted notices of the recall on their websites about the products.
The recall notice says they were sent to stores across the US and in Puerto Rico. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) doesn’t list the retailers where the hot pockets were sent. They also have a Best Before date of February 2022. They were produced between the 13th of November 2020, and the 16th of November 2020, with the lot codes shown below: They did not include other sizes in the recall, like the Pepperoni Hot Pockets With Garlic Buttery Crust and the Pepperoni Hot Pockets with Crispy Crust. The Department of Agriculture Food and Safety Inspection reported that one person has already sustained minor injuries after consuming the hot pockets.ħ62,615 pounds of Hot Pockets are part of the recall, and they comprise 54-ounce packages that contain 12 Hot Pockets each. It became a household name, and in 2002, Chef America and Nestlé changed hands. They were created and founded in 1983 by brothers David and Paul Merage. They are an American brand of microwaveable turnovers that may contain cheese, meat, or vegetables. The very reason the company is recalling the product as it poses a choking risk once they are consumed. But it’s currently on recall all over the country, as there have been several reports that consumers found glass or plastic inside the product itself.
